England Women face Samoa on Saturday (6:45am GMT) in Wollongong in a huge clash.
The task for Stuart Barrow’s side is simple, win and progress to the Rugby League World Cup Semi-Finals, however, defeat would see their campaign come to an end.
England started their tournament with a dominant 70-6 success against Wales, but suffered a 78-0 defeat in Game Two against the Jillaroos.
Barrow will be without Eva Hunter, who left the field with an injury and hasn’t been named in the side.
Warriors’ duo Georgia Wilson and Mary Coleman are set return, with Wilson replacing her Warrior teammate, Molly Jones.
Georgia Roche returns to the starting line-up in the halves alongside Isabel Rowe. The 25-year-old Newcastle Knights half-back made 11 NRLW appearances in 2026, scoring three tries, and will earn her 14th England cap this weekend.
Jodie Cunningham has been named on the bench in her 38th appearance for England and she’ll be hoping it won’t be her last, with the skipper retiring at the end of the World Cup.
Samoa, just like England have had 1 win and 1 defeat so far and sit above them on points difference in the standings.
Saturday’s meeting will be the first between the two sides, however, some of the players will be familiar. Annetta Nuuausala started for New Zealand in the Rugby League World Cup Semi-Final at the LNER Community Stadium when they defeated England.
It will be a winner takes all clash, with the victorious side heading to Newcastle for the knockout stage, meanwhile, the loser will head home
